Voting as a Sacred Act

Voting can be understood as an extension of the idea of b’tzelem Elohim (Gen 1:27) that each person is created in God’s image. That we are all equal. In a democracy, each citizen gets one vote—one equal say. And the government we elect ultimately becomes, in a sense, b’tzelem—an image or reflection—of us, our collective choices and the society we seek to create.

Here are three ways to get involved in keeping our elections free, fair, and sacred:
