Advocacy For The Movement
Bringing the community’s voice to the halls of power — with credible, community-sourced data that elected officials cannot ignore.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Build Something From the Ground Up
Advisory Board members will help ensure the Conservative/Masorti Movement has a credible, coordinated, and powerful presence in public life. This is a rare opportunity to bring the wisdom of our tradition, the strength of our networks, and the urgency of this moment into the service of our community and our world.
Advisory Board members serve two-year terms (with option for renewal) and serve as strategic thought partners, ambassadors, and financial champions of the Tzedek Center. As part of the founding board, members will be especially important in establishing the governance infrastructure and culture that will carry this organization forward.
“To be a Jew is to know that because of who we are, because of our historical experience, we care for the other.”
— Rabbi Elliot Cosgrove

What We Ask Of You
- Strategic Guidance. Provide perspective on policy positions and the broader social action agenda, drawing on the experience of your community and professional network.

- Governance. Help build foundational policies and structures as part of the inaugural board. Serve on at least one committee.
- Fundraising. Actively open doors to prospective donors, partners, and foundations; participate in at least one donor cultivation event per year.
- Attend Meetings. At least 75% of meetings (quarterly, in-person or virtual). Additional committee meetings monthly to bi-monthly.
- 100% Board Giving. Every member makes a personal, meaningful financial contribution each fiscal year. The participation rate signals to donors and foundations that everyone at our table is personally invested.
